Xbox Beginners Guide

When you first get a Xbox for the first time its going to have you sign into your Microsoft account. Now some people may ask why do i need to sign into a Microsoft account to play? That's because any games that you buy are stored along with your game saves on your Microsoft account that is actually one thing i like about Microsoft. Now after i decided to start using my new email for my personal stuff and my old one for business i saw a feature on Microsoft where you can add multiple emails and choose which one to be your primary email.

That feature allows you to sign in with your new email you recently added and set to be your primary. This is beneficial incase you lose access to that email you can still put that email in if you have 2 step authentication active and have a phone number you can switch from that old email to your new one. So that way you still have access to all the games you purchased along with your profile and game saves.

Now after you log into your Xbox you'll see a settings icon a library icon a store icon and a menu icon on the top to purchase a game go to the store icon after that you can go to the library icon and see the game you purchased with your old games. After a game is purchased the game will start installing automatically you cam check the progress on the menu or by going to the library and selecting que.

When you play a game the first time each game installs the features needed for the best experience while you can play offline you will need a Xbox game pass subscription to play online. Cheapest plan is Game pass essential for $9.99 without tax that lets you play online and gives you access to free games. Now when you play online a 5g internet connection or higher is what i recommend for the best experience and to avoid crashes.
